John Edward Norwood Veron
John Edward Norwood Veron (* 1945 ) is an Australian marine biologist and an important taxonomist of hard corals (Scleractinia). In his books he scientifically described about a quarter of the 4000 known species. Veron was the director of the Australian Institute of Marine Science for a long time . In order to explain the speciation process in hard corals he sets up the theory of networked evolution .
