John Gaeta
John Gaeta (* 1965 ) was the visual effects supervisor for the Matrix trilogy. He is referred to as the " VFX Guru" because of the groundbreaking quality of the effects in all three Matrix films and was awarded the Oscar in 2000 for the best visual effects in Matrix. In 2006 he made his debut as a director on the horror film Trapped Ashes , along with other directors: Joe Dante , Ken Russell , Sean Cunningham and Monte Hellman . In 2008 he worked again with the Wachowski siblings , he was the supervisor for the effects of the anime film Speed Racer .
