Honor Guard of the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)

The Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling is a 366 hectare military facility in the southeastern quadrant of Washington, DC The new joint base of the Navy and Air Force was formed on October 1, 2010 in implementation of the recommendations of the Base Realignment and Closure Commission of 2005. The law required the amalgamation of the Naval Support Facility Anacostia (NSF) and the Bolling Air Force Base (BAFB), adjoining but so far organizationally separate facilities. A helipad belongs to the base ( ICAO code : KBOF).
