Joint Task Force 510

The Joint Task Force 510 or JTF-510 is one of USPACOM's two rapid reaction forces . The reaction force is provided by SOCPAC and consists of special units. This unit is not a standing unit, but is provided by the Secretary of Defense , for the US Commander in Chief, Pacific , the commander of PACOM.

The task is to assess the situation in a crisis situation, to propose procedures or even to carry out military operations yourself. The JTF-510 is also to be used in humanitarian crises and disasters. If necessary, the JTF-510 can also rescue non-combatants .
