José Amado Ricardo Guerra

José Amado Ricardo Guerra is a Cuban politician of the Communist Party of Cuba, PCC (Partido Comunista de Cuba) and Brigadier General of the Revolutionary Armed Forces FAR ( Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias ) , who has been Secretary of the Council of Ministers since 2009 .

Life

Guerra joined the Revolutionary Armed Forces FAR ( Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias ) and found employment in the Eastern Army (Ejército Oriental) , where he became adjutant to the Chief of the Eastern Army in 1978 after a deployment in Ethiopia . Subsequently, between 1982 and 1987, he was adjutant to the deputy minister for defense and chiefs of the air defense and air defense troops, and then adjutant to the deputy minister for defense for economic affairs. In 1991 he took over the post of head of the working group of the first deputy minister for defense and between 1999 and 2006 he was head of the working group of the first deputy minister of defense and was then head of the secretariat of ministers from 2006 to 2009.

In July 2006, Guerra was appointed by Supreme Commander Fidel Castro as assistant to Army General Raúl Castro for all state and government affairs. In 2008 he was promoted to brigadier general. He is also a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, PCC (Partido Comunista de Cuba) and a member of the National Assembly of People's Power ( Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular ), and in 2009 he succeeded Carlos Lage Dávila as Secretary of the Council of Ministers (Secretario del Consejo de Ministros) .
