Josie is a song by the jazz rock band Steely Dan , which was released in 1978 as the first single from the album Aja . It reached number 26 on the Billboard charts.
General
Becker and Fagen had written an early version of Josie long before the recordings for Aja took place.
Becker plays a guitar solo on the song, one of the few on Aja. Steely Dan biographer Brian Sweet praised his solo.
