Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics (abbreviation: JITE) is one of the oldest journals in the field of economics . It emerged in 1986 from its predecessor, the journal for political science as a whole, founded in 1844 (abbreviation: ZgS ). It is published by Mohr Siebeck Verlag in Tübingen.
