The Journal of the entire political science (abbreviation: CGS) was one of the leading journals in the field of economics .
It has been published by Robert von Mohl in the publishing house of H. Laupp'schen Buchhandlung in Tübingen since 1844 , and since 1949 by JCB Mohr (Paul Siebeck) Tübingen. In 1986 it was converted to the Journal of institutional and theoretical economics (JITE). It was usually published once a year. During the period from 1945 to 1947 there were no publications.

Sometimes there were several editors at the same time. The editors' transition from 1986 to JITE (see above) is fluid.
