The Journal of Modern Turkish Studies (JMTS; Turkish Modern Türklük araştırmaları Dergisi ) is since 2004 quarterly scientific online magazine of the Department of Modern Turkish Dialects and Literature of the University of Ankara for Turkish Studies . It is subject to peer review . In addition to theoretical and empirical articles, book reviews are also published. The current editor is F. Sema Barutcu Özönder . The editorial board includes Nuraniye H. Ekrem , Erkin Emet , Melek Erdem , Filiz Kılıç , Aynur Öz Özcan , Ufuk Tavkul and Erdoğan Uygur . In addition, the journal is supported by an advisory board. It is maintained by the International Bibliography of Books and Articles on the modern Languages (MLAIB).
