The Journal of Transition Medicine , or J. Transition for short . . Med or JTM , is since 2019 continuously published English-language, multi-disciplinary peer review - journal . The journal is the official organ of the Society for Transition Medicine and appears with an open access license from Walter de Gruyter Verlag .

Content and direction

JTM is the world's first interdisciplinary journal that is exclusively dedicated to the interdisciplinary field of transition medicine. The results of fundamental research from the fields of life and behavioral sciences to public health and politics are published. The editors of the journal aim to provide better medical care for young people with chronic diseases during the transition from pediatrics to adult medicine. In addition to medicine, all disciplines that are entrusted with transitional care or are working to improve it - sociology, psychology, social work, nursing and research in health care - are shown.
