Juan Manuel de Prada (* 1970 in Baracaldo , Basque Country) is a Spanish author and literary critic.

Life

De Prada studied law . He is considered one of the greatest talents in contemporary Spanish literature. His novel Trügerisches Licht der Nacht ( Trügerisches Licht der Nacht) was awarded the Premio Planeta , Spain's most valuable literary prize, in 1997 . De Prada now lives in Madrid as a freelance writer and literary critic .
