prehistory

As early as 1992, managers from the Düsseldorf Jagenberg Group came together and worked with the University of Ilmenau to develop a concept on how they could better promote the company's own young people and prepare them for their professional future. Among them was the later initiator of Youth Needs Future Peter Schulze. In addition to his professional activities, he coached young people in his spare time free of charge and applied the knowledge and experience from his professional development activities. He achieved successes professionally and privately. At the urging of his personal environment, he continued to help disoriented young people. In this a meaningful life task crystallized, which led him to found the association in 2005.

Trainer

Over 120 trainers have been trained, around 60 volunteer their service to the association and hold the one-day seminars in the adult education centers of the individual federal states. The trainers speak from their own life experience and guide the participants through the day. In doing so, I keep applying my own life examples.

Godfather model

The association is continuously expanding its sponsorship model . Experienced professionals and retirees use their contacts and their skills and try to bring young people looking for help into the professional areas they have identified in the seminar. Doctors, bankers, police officers - the most diverse areas are represented. If, after a seminar, they wish to contact a mentor , the participants can contact the trainer, who will establish contact with the potential mentor . From here on, it is entirely up to the young people whether they and the sponsors work together. The sponsors also have to complete a one-day seminar.
