Youth fashion
Youth fashion generally refers to the fashion worn by young people , i.e. in the case of clothing, to distinguish it from children's clothing, fashion aimed at buyers from around 15 years of age.
Specifically, a youth fashion is one of a (youthful) subculture . Some modern examples of such fashion directions are:
- Afro look
- Existentialist fashion
- Bum look
- Hippie look
- Mod fashion
- Skinhead fashion
- Street style
- Teddy fashion
Often these styles or elements of these styles are picked up and absorbed by mainstream fashion. Often these fashion styles are shaped by certain musical styles and their representatives. Examples are:

- Punk fashion
