Youth Care Decree

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Prussian youth care decree of January 18, 1911 introduced the term “youth care”. The term was replaced in 1922 with the Reich Youth Welfare Act (RJWG) by "Youth Welfare Care". Prussia, which until then had only supported the initiatives of non-state organizations according to the principle of subsidiarity, established child and youth work as a state-sponsored field of socialization and education. He also integrated elements of pre-military education into general youth work.
