Domenico Angelini

Domenico Angelini (also Dominico Angelini ; born January 18, 1777 in Villafranca ( Valle Castellana ), † June 26, 1851 in Rome ) was an Italian bishop .

Life

Born in Marche, he was ordained a priest on June 7, 1800 . In Rome he received his doctorate iuris utriusque and was apostolic protonotary on June 15, 1807 . He was professor of philosophy in Ascoli and later in Rome, where he was appointed vicar general of the suburbicarian diocese of Porto-Santa Rufina . He was then an examiner for the Suburbicarian diocese of Sabina and the territorial abbey of Subiaco and vicar general of the diocese of Sabina.

Pope Gregory XVI appointed him on July 8, 1839 titular bishop of Leuce and auxiliary bishop in the suburbicarian diocese of Sabina. He was ordained bishop on July 21 of the same year by Cardinal Filippo de Angelis ; Archbishops Ludovico Tevoli and Niccola Ferrarelli were co-consecrators . On January 28, 1842, Domenico Angelini was appointed Commissioner for the Sanctuary of Loreto . Pope Pius IX appointed him instead on December 21, 1846 as Consultor of the Holy Office and in January 1847 as a member of the Congregation for the Sanctuary of Loreto.
