Juicy Couture

Juicy Couture is a Californian fashion brand that is part of the fashion company Authentic Brands Group . Products under the label are mainly sold in the United States . In addition to its fashion and accessories lines for women, Juicy Couture sells children's, baby and animal collections. The company is based in Arleta , a suburb of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley .

history

In 1994 Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy founded their own fashion label Travis Jeans , which sold maternity pants . In 1996 they changed the name of the label to Juicy Couture. You originally wanted to create girly, affordable fashion. Most of the Juicy Couture clothing items now cost over € 100. Since they didn't have much money to spend when they started the company, they sent their tracksuits to stars like Madonna , who gave the label such low-cost publicity. In 2003, Juicy Couture by Liz Claiborne Inc. bought. Until 2004 Juicy Couture was a small label and could only be bought in a few stores in America. At the beginning of 2009, Liz Claiborne Inc operated 61 Juicy Couture stores worldwide with an average store size of 340 m² and a further 33 outlet stores. Juicy Couture had 2008 sales of $ 604.6 million.

In 2006 Taylor and Levi introduced a new clothing line called Couture Couture, which included 20 higher priced items of clothing. The first house and pajama collection Choose Sleep was presented in 2008. On October 7, 2013, Liz Claiborne (now Fifth & Pacific Companies) sold the company to the Authentics Brands Group.

Products

Juicy Couture mainly offers women's clothing. Bags, shoes, jewelry, animal accessories and perfume are also offered. Most of the products are made of suede , especially their colorful, printed mostly with funny inscriptions tracksuits . Juicy Couture is known for its slogans on the garments. Her slogans never appear in two different clothing lines.
