June Ritchie (born May 31, 1938 in Manchester , United Kingdom ) is an inactive British actress .

Live and act

Ritchie received her artistic training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in the late 1950s and then gained some theater experience. She became well known in 1961 with the typist Ingrid in the neo-Nazi drama Just a Touch of Bliss , one of the most famous British New Wave films . Thereupon Germany became aware of the blonde British woman and offered her the role of Polly Peachum in Wolfgang Staudte's remake of Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera . The film flopped but didn't damage June Ritchie's career in home England. Nevertheless, she had already passed her zenith as a film artist, and after her participation in the small states and space farce Even the little ones want to go up , June Ritchie only appeared in a few other, completely insignificant movies and a number of television films and series. In 1988 she retired from film and television acting.
