Young innovator in agriculture

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The badge of young innovators in agriculture was an award of the Free German Youth of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated in 1954 and awarded until 1960 to deserving rationalizers and innovators .

The 36 mm high badge shows a man and a woman looking at a folded card. To the right of these you can see a young tree that has just been planted. A tractor is shown in the background. The whole symbolism is embedded in front of a blue background, which merges into a waving FDJ flag at its upper edge. The red workers flag can be seen behind this flag. The lower edge of the badge is embossed by a curved tape on which the two-line inscription JUNGER NEUERER / DER LANDWIRTSCHAFT can be read. The FDJ symbol is embedded in between. The left and right edges of the badge are formed by two curved branches that merge at their upper end into the flags of the FDJ and the workers' flag.
