Junkers R types
The Junkers R-types were project drafts for super-heavy long-range bombers for the German air troops in the First World War .
The multi-engine R aircraft were used as long-range bombers with long range and heavy bomb load for strategic bombing. Since the German airship attacks were reduced and finally stopped due to heavy losses , giant aircraft on an even larger scale than before should be used and fill this gap.
development
The Junkers company in Dessau was primarily involved in the production of all-metal aircraft until 1918 , but in 1918 it also began project studies for the construction of giant aircraft.
commitment
The planes were not yet under construction at the end of the war; there was no more use.
