Viśuddhacāritra

Viśuddhacāritra ( Japanese 浄 行 , Jōgyō , dt. Pure practice ) is a Bodhisattva . He is mentioned in the 15th chapter of the Lotus Sutra called Welling (by multitudes of bodhisattvas) out of the earth , along with the bodhisattvas Supratisthitacaritra ( practice of peaceful state ), Anantacāritra ( unlimited practice ) and Viśistacāritra ( excellent practice ). It symbolizes purity as part of the characteristics of Buddhahood.
