Kårehamn is a village on the east coast of the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .

The village belonging to the municipality of Borgholm has less than 50 inhabitants (as of 2005). Kårehamn can be reached from the road that runs along the east coast of the island via a branching off road leading through Arbelunda . The center of the place is formed by a fishing port. The barren landscape of an Alvar stretches south of the village . On the sea side, the island of Kårholm is in front of the harbor .

As a result of the fishing activity, there is also a fish trade and a corresponding gastronomy in the village. There is also a small museum in the port. To the east of Kårehamn is Skanvik Bay, a designated bathing beach .
