The Kööhögen (also "Konungshög" - German  "Königshügel" ; RAÄ-Nr. Orkesta 30: 1) excavated by CL von Schantz in 1724 is a burial mound in the Orkesta parish, on the border with the Markim parish, in Vallentuna in Uppland in Sweden . The hill was from the younger Iron Age (0 to 500 AD). The Vaxtuna farm is located north of the Kööhögen. The landscape around the Kööhögen consists largely of cultivated land.

description

The Kööhögen has a diameter of about 35.0 m and is 5.0 m high and is the largest hill in the municipality of Vallentuna. Apparently it used to be higher. The hill, lying on a low gravel terrace, has a steep profile. In the middle of the hill is a pit 15 to 17 meters in diameter and 3.0 meters deep. At the bottom and on the western edge of the pit are 0.2 to 0.5 m large stones, of a Röse stem, which forms the core of the hill. An inner stone mound made of large blocks was pierced during the excavation and an urn with burnt bones and bony game pieces was found.
