The King Abd al-Aziz University ( Arabic جامعة الملك عبد العزيز Jamiat al-Malik Abd al-Aziz , DMG ǧāmiʿat al-malik ʿabd al-ʿazīz , English King Abdulaziz University - KAU) is a university in Saudi Arabia . It was founded in Jeddah in1967, when 68 students enrolled. In 2004 there were a total of 49,139 students at the university, including 26,528 men. The total number of students is now estimated to be 82,152 (both genders). The campus is separate for men and women. The university is named after King Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud .
