King of Nieznanowo
The King of Nieznanowo (Polish: Król Nieznanowa) is an oak that grows in the Nieznanowo Forest .
The location of this oak is in sector 488 of the national park.
The trunk circumference is 620 cm at a height of 130 cm above the base of the trunk. The tree has a height of 38 m. It is an oak with one of the slenderest trunks among the oaks of the Białowieża National Park . The first branches branch off at a height of 18 m. The tree has a columnar trunk that is embedded in the ground in an interesting way. The tree has been gradually dying off since 1988. Today only two small branches still have leaves (as of 2005). Since the mid-1960s, the trunk's circumference grew by around 45 cm.
