Gynecological ring curettes

A curette is a surgical instrument used to scrape and remove tissue ( curettage ). The end is either hollowed out or ring-shaped to better illustrate the tissue to be ablated. The edges are sharp and smooth or sawn. Curettes are used to remove hard substances such as bones and soft tissues such as the lining of the uterus .
