KJots is a program for writing and managing notes . It was for the graphical Linux - desktop environment KDE creates and fits completely into the desktop one.

A special feature of KJots is that notes can also be saved and sorted in entire books. Books can also be created within books. This allows a more complex administration.

Tools such as bold, italic, font, color, indentation, etc. are available for text formatting; words / text passages can be linked to other books or web links, which can then be called up with a Ctrl-click. It is not possible to insert pictures.

"Books" created in KJots can be exported as HTML pages, as can individual pages.

In addition to the stand-alone display, KJots can also be displayed within the Kontact PIM application .
