KK Matheny is an American arena football player. She currently plays the position of quarterback for the Nashville Knights in the Legends Football League .

Career

Matheny began her career in 2010 at Tampa Breeze , which took her to the playoffs twice, but where she lost both times in the Conference Championships. After the team moved to Jacksonville for the 2012/2013 season, they led the now called Jacksonville Breeze team again into the playoffs, where they again failed in the Conference Championship. In 2013 Matheny did not get into the playoffs with her, but was elected to the Eastern Conference All-Fantasy Team . In 2014 she came back to the playoffs with the Breezes, but lost again in the Conference Championship. After the franchise was dissolved, she moved to Seattle Mist for the 2015 season . There she threw 18 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions in her first season for the Mists in the regular season , so she led the team into the playoffs. There she reached the Legends Cup with the Mists, which she won with 27:21. For her achievements, she was nominated for the All-Star Game. In 2018 she moved to the newly founded Nashville Knights .
