KNX Association

The KNX Association is an amalgamation of 480 companies in 44 countries that have agreed on uniform signaling between sensors and actuators in a bus system . The European Installation Bus ( EIB ) developed from this. The KNX Association is the successor organization to the European Installation Bus Association (EIBA). The name KNX is not an acronym, but a shortened form of the temporary name KONNEX , derived from the Latin connexio , "connection".
