Kaikaku

Kaikaku ( Japanese 改革 , "reform") is a Japanese term used in business process management .

meaning

Kaikaku describes in Lean Management :

  • the gradual (possibly abrupt) but comprehensive restructuring of the production and support areas of a production or a company according to the flow logic .
  • Anchoring the Lean philosophy in the minds of employees through training (= information) and through "learning by doing"; for employees of all company areas and company levels.
  • Development of a lean culture through consistent leadership, decision-making and action according to lean standards, at all company levels.
