Calliope (queen)
Calliope ( Greek Καλλιόπη ) was an Indo-Greek queen and wife of Hermaios , who probably lived in the first century BC. Ruled. She appears on some silver coins along with the ruler. The depiction of the wife on Indo-Greek coins is otherwise not common, so that it can be assumed that Calliope played a special role (perhaps in the marriage policy of the Indo-Greek states), but about which nothing definite can be said due to a lack of sources .
