Hermaios (King)
Hermaios (Greek: Ἑρμαῖος; Latin form: Hermaeus ) was an Indo-Greek king who ruled in the first century BC. It is tentatively around 90 to 70 BC. BC and apparently ruled in the region of the Hindu Kush .
Hermaios is known for an extremely large number of coins that indicate a long and prosperous reign. Its coins were later copied, which in turn underscores its importance. Its coins show legends in Greek and Karoshti . On some of them he appears next to a Queen Calliope , who was probably his wife. It may even appear as yin mofu in Chinese sources, but this equation is not certain.
