Court trainee

A court clerk is a lawyer with the first state examination , which his traineeship (practical part of legal education) in court completed. Sometimes the term " auscultator " (from Latin auscultator : listener; sometimes also "ausculator", especially Austrian "auscultant") is used imprecisely synonymously .

The term is no longer in use. It is now only the name (legal) trainee or (legal) trainee used.
