Channel laser

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The sewer laser is a measuring instrument in construction and surveying, with which slightly inclined axes are marked out. It corresponds to a compact combination of leveling device and precise laser pointer .

Main applications are sewers, drains and pipelines. After the device has been set up, the axis is staked according to direction and slope, with devices with a green or red laser beam on the market.

The inclination is measured by electronic plumbing sensors and has a typical accuracy of a few mm per 100 m. The direction is made by measuring an alignment or a target plate. Some instruments also allow the laser beam to be aligned upwards out of the trench for quick directional adjustment or control. There are also alarm functions, for example if the device is hit.
