With edge (Kaute) a piece and counting measure in which it was Province Fulda referred. The measure was only used in the flax trade.

The term can also be replaced with Kaude, Kaute, Knocke, because edge is considered corruption. In the flax trade, it describes a bundle, docke or braid made of crooked flax, which, with a corresponding amount, make a globes or cocks.
