The magazine Kanumagazin ( spelling : KANUmagazin , also: KANU ) was founded in 1994 and until 2009 belonged to Sport + Freizeit Verlag GmbH & Co.KG., which has been a subsidiary of Motor Presse Stuttgart since 2000 . The magazine has been published by Atlas Verlag , Munich, since January 2010 . It appears eight times a year (February to September). Michael Neumann was the editor-in-chief from 2010 to 2016. Since then, Lars Brinkmann has headed the editorial team with Alexander Kassler as his deputy.

In addition to articles on news and events in canoeing , tours and areas are mainly described. Tests and workshops complete the offer.

The website also has a second-hand market, a hazard hotline, search messages for lost or found equipment and a detailed calendar of events.
