Katharina von Helmolt

Katharina von Helmolt is a German linguist and communication scientist. She is a professor at the Munich University of Applied Sciences .

She did her doctorate in 1994 at the University of Eichstätt with the dissertation Communication in international working groups: a case study on diverging conventions of modality constitution , which appeared in Munich in 1997.

From 1993 to 2000 Katharina vom Helmolt worked in the automotive and financial services industries. Subsequently, she was appointed professor at the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (FH), where she taught in the field of intercultural training with a focus on Romance culture and international business administration . Katharina von Helmolt has been a professor at the Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2007, where she works specifically at the Faculty for General Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies. Her subject area is intercultural communication and cooperation .
