The Kawasaki KAL-2 is a liaison aircraft from the Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki Heavy Industries .

History and construction

In 1954 the KAL-2 were developed on the basis of a tender for a new liaison aircraft, in competition with the Fuji LM-1 Nikko . The KAL-2 is a 3-seater all-metal low wing aircraft with retractable nose landing gear and was powered by a Lycoming boxer engine. In the competition the KAL-2 was defeated by the LM-1 Niko.
