KazAzot ( Russian КазАзот ) is the only manufacturer of ammonia and ammonium nitrate in Kazakhstan . The company, which was founded in 2005, is based in Aqtau .
The company was founded on November 16, 2005 as the successor to a chemical-metallurgical combine . The KazAzot plant covers an area of 152.36 hectares and is located nine kilometers north of Aktau city center.
The company's product range includes the manufacture of ammonia, weak nitric acid and ammonium nitrate. The manufactured products are exported to India , Poland , Russia and Ukraine , among others .
