Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition
The Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition ( KIHE for short ) is a trade fair for the international healthcare industry in Kazakhstan . It has been held every year since 1993 at the Atakent Expo Exhibition Center in Almaty . The next time it will take place from May 11-13, 2011.
Health market in Kazakhstan
A total of 299.5 trillion tenge is planned for the health sector in 2009, a total of 411.6 trillion tenge in 2010 and 368.9 trillion tenge for 2011. The government's annual investment in medical equipment purchases is approximately 25 to 30 trillion tenge annually.
There are 1054 hospitals and 3720 short-stay clinics throughout Kazakhstan . In 2009 there were 59,000 doctors and 126,000 medical staff working.

Most of the 170 exhibitors at the Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition 2010 included companies from Asia and Europe. 40 percent came from Kazakhstan , 19 percent from Germany , 16 percent from Russia , 7 percent from the People's Republic of China and 4.5 percent from Turkey .
The total exhibition area of the Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition 2010 was 5,856 square meters. A total of 166 exhibitors from 17 countries were present. The number of trade visitors was 3,647, of whom 95 percent came from Kazakhstan, 1.4 percent from Russia and three percent from other countries.
