Tavuk Göğsü ( Turkish for chicken breast) is a dessert of Turkish cuisine from the Ottoman period . It is made up of rice flour , corn starch , milk, powdered sugar, chicken breast meat and salt. Optionally, you can also add mastic to Tavuk Göğsü , but this changes the taste a lot. You can also sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. For the preparation, chicken breast is boiled and separated into its fibers. The other ingredients are blended in the blender before being mixed with the chicken. The art of preparation consists in not noticing that this dessert contains chicken. A similar dish that was very important in Europe in the Middle Ages is blanc manger .

A tavuk göğsü that is browned on the surface is called a kazandibi (pot base).
