Kebse

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kebse , concubine and concubine are outdated terms for a concubine or concubine , which are still used dialectically today . The 19th century bourgeoisie , to whom this expression seemed too coarse, preferred to speak of maitresse instead . In Luther's translation of the Bible, however, Kebse was still neutral and often used in the meaning of "concubine".
