Keepon is a small therapy robot that was developed in 2003 at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Kyoto , Japan as part of the Infanoid project. The robot was developed for learning social interaction, especially in autistic children.

Keepon is moved by four engines, and as has sensors two cameras for eyes and a microphone for a nose. With the help of the cameras and the microphone, Keepon can recognize voices and faces and thereby make targeted eye contact with bystanders.

Keepon has won several international awards, including the Robots at Play Prize in Denmark, the Best Interactive Demonstration Award in Korea and the First Grand Challenge in Human-Robot Interaction at ICRA 2008 in California.
