The Kievan Kenesa (Russian: Караимская Кенаса) is a former Karean kenesa ( synagogue ) on Yaroslaviv Whale Street in Kiev , Ukraine .

The synagogue was built between 1898-1902 according to the plans of the Kiev architect Władysław Gorodetsky in Moorish style built for the Karaite community in Kiev.

It has not been used as a synagogue since 1919/26 (?). She was u. a. Puppet theater. In World War II it was partially destroyed. Later she went to the cinema. Today it is the “House of Theater Makers” in Kiev.

A return has not yet taken place. a. because there is no Karaite community of its own in Kiev. The dome is still missing today.
