Kenneth M. Jacobs is an American manager and since 2009 Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the investment bank Lazard .

Kenneth Jacobs studied at the University of Chicago , among others, and graduated with a Master of Economics . He began his professional career with Lazard in 1988. He was named partner in 1991, and in 2002 he was promoted to vice chairman and executive manager for North America . During this time, his focus was on opening up new markets, such as in the energy and health sectors.
