Kernmantle

The core mantle is part of a boiling water reactor . It has a cylindrical shape and is open at the ends. The core jacket is located in the reactor pressure vessel , with which it is often confused, and surrounds the reactor core . It ensures that water flows through the fuel assemblies from bottom to top. In pressurized water reactors , this component is called the core tank .
