Hubertus Chapel

Keylaer is a farming community in the lower left Lower Rhine region . It is mostly in the area of ​​the city of Kevelaer , a smaller part is in the area of ​​the municipality of Weeze . Keylaer was first mentioned in 1144 in connection with a donation from Friedrich von Boedberg to the Xanten monastery . The center of the peasantry is the Hubertus chapel, located in Kevelaer urban area, which is mentioned for the first time in 1381 in a document in the interest register of the Graefenthal monastery .
