Various devices for making Kilju.

Kilju is a Finnish homemade alcohol drink . Its raw materials are yeast , sugar and water . Kilju is mainly enjoyed for its alcohol content, as it requires careful preparation and the end product is generally of poor quality.

By law, until 2018 in Finland it was illegal to make Kilju if only sugar was used in the process. However, this regulation could be circumvented, because the use of fruits or berries during fermentation legally makes the product a type of wine .

Its simple manufacturing process and low cost make Kilju a popular drink among students and alcohol addicts.
