Killer , or Assassins , is a live role-playing game in which the participants play the role of an assassin. The game is published by Steve Jackson Games and various other associations, there are many different types of rules. The game emerged at US universities and is played there by students who live on campus. In Germany, the game is sometimes played in entire cities such as Berlin or Cologne. The players slip into the imaginary role of a killer who has to kill the other players. The special thing is that the game is played in normal life and z. B. water bombs, rolled socks, water pistols and other non-lethal objects are used. The special charm of the game lies in the element of surprise. In contrast to other live game types, the players do not dress up and do not play a character. The only goal is to eliminate the other participants. A game round can last several weeks and the winner is the one who survived. In order to avoid embarrassment and not to endanger everyday student life, zones are declared in which a kill is not counted, e.g. B. classrooms or library buildings.
