Kimmo Kananen
Kimmo Kananen (born December 11, 1980 in Lahti ) is a Finnish track, cyclocross and road cyclist.
Career
Kimmo Kananen became the Finnish team pursuit champion in 2000. In the 2002 season he won this title for the second time. In the team sprint he won the Finnish championship in 2003 and in 2004 he was successful in the national championships in the team pursuit and in the team sprint.
On the road, Kananen became the Finnish Criterion Champion in 2002 and won the one-day race Mynämäen Ajot. The next year he was successful at the Västerås Punkt Grand Prix in Sweden. In the 2004 season he won a stage at the Ringerike Grand Prix and was able to win the overall standings. He also won two stages each at the Saaremaa Velotour and at the Grand Prix Veckan, as well as the two one-day races Lauri Aus Memorial and Lahti Grand Prix.
In 2008 Kimmo Kananen became Finnish cyclocross champion.
