The Kind + Jugend is a trade fair for baby - and infant equipment. It is the world's leading trade fair in its field. The fair takes place once a year in September over a period of four days and is aimed exclusively at a specialist audience. During the fair, brand manufacturers will present their range of baby and toddler equipment. The audience is made up of international wholesalers, top buyers and purchasing associations, dealers from medium-sized and small companies and the international trade press.

history

Founded in 1960 under the name "Baby" and developed further into the early 1970s as an international fair for children, Kind + Jugend has gained even more importance as an international fair. The foreign share of exhibitors is now over 85 percent, the share of foreign visitors over 75 percent. In 2013 for the first time over 1000 companies from 44 countries exhibited at Kind + Jugend . The trade fair occupies around 110,000 gross square meters in halls 4.1, 10 and 11 at Koelnmesse .

Since 2004, the “Kind + Jugend Innovation Award” has also been presented in recognition of outstanding innovations at the fair. The Kind + Jugend event program also includes the presentation of the “Kids Design Awards” for innovative product ideas in the areas of children's furniture, toys and accessories, as well as a design park and a lecture program by industry experts in the so-called trend forum.
